AstroYogam handles highly personal information: your exact birth details. Here's exactly how we protect it, what we send to our AI narrator and why, and what we don't do.
Your birth data is end-to-end encrypted
Your birth details and charts are encrypted in your browser before they are sent to our server. We store only this encrypted payload. Because we do not hold your decryption key, we cannot access or read your saved data.
No ads, ever
AstroYogam shows no advertising, uses no ad trackers, and never sells your data. In production we do use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand product usage and improve it, never for advertising. We never send your birth details or encrypted vault contents as analytics data; session replay may still capture what's visible on screen during a visit.
Open, validated astronomy
Positions are computed with the Swiss Ephemeris using the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, and validated against Drik Panchang. Our ephemeris engine, swisseph-service, is open source and available for public audit on GitHub.
The AI only narrates what the engine computes
To write plain-language explanations, we send only the computed chart and panchangam numbers to our AI service; your raw birth details are never shared. The AI never invents a position, date, or astrological fact it wasn't given.
You're in control of your data
Delete any saved chart or profile from your vault at any time. This action is instant, permanent, and self-service. Because your data is end-to-end encrypted, losing your passphrase means even we can't recover it.
